Detroits own, Anita Baker took the stage Saturday night @ Midland Theater in Kansas City, and the show was absolutely awesome!! I had wonderful seating, and the crowd was packed with Two steppers, 60% white folks, 80's french rolls, after-five gowns, and Steve Harvey suits and brims(lol). It was truly a smorgage board of comedy everywhere I turned, but anyhow Anita came out looking not a day over 40. She sang hits like "Caught Up in the Rapture", "Sweet Love", "Angel", "No one In this World", Body & Soul", "Apologize", "Same Ol' Love", "Fairytales", "You're the Best Thing Yet" just to name a few classic selections during her 2hr set (Well worth the money might I add). Anita talked to us, her fans as if we were old acquaintances….speaking on love, relationships and heartache. Anita also told us that album "Caught up in the Rapture" has been certified as being one of the Top 200 best selling albums of all time!!! Truly deserving right? Anita Baker is a class act, a legendary icon, a melodic soul singer whose voice sounds just as pure and enticing Live, as in the studio.  If you can catch Anita while she's still on tour I suggest you do so, because they don't make'm like Ms. Baker anymore!!!
