jay z barack obama HIP HOP ARTISTS SET FOR BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION

Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony on January 20th is turning out to be a star studded event. Best believe it will be a night to remember with 52 already confirmed Celebrities! As we know, Jennifer Hudson has been asked by Obama to sing. Jay Z & Beyonce have cleared their schedules to attend and in talks of performing. British singer Leona Lewis also is rumored to sing. Puffy and Mary J. Blige's names have come up and being considered as performers as well.

So it seems many people are mad about the idea of Rap and R&B artists performing @ the Inauguration. Hip-Hop and R&B are two of the most popular genres of music bridging the gap between all ethnicity's. I believe there should be a mix of successful African-American musical artists, representing all aspects of R&B, Soul, Rock, Pop, and Hip-Hop. PRESIDENT OBAMA has the right to pick who he wants to perform for him as every other President has had. This is a historical and proud moment for African Americans, so why can't we be represented?
