The hypersensitive world we live in today, has led to the suspension of CNN correspondent Roland Martin.  After David Beckham's H&M Underwear commercial aired, Roland tweeted his thoughts and (GLAAD) got angry. Due to the backlash of Martin's comment, he has been suspended. Read tweet below…

CNN says, Roland Martin’s tweets were regrettable and offensive. Language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated. We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland will not be appearing on our air for the time being.

I read this tweet several times, and eventhough I'm not a fan of Roland Martin,  he didn't deserve to be suspended.Freedom of speech is becoming null and void..smfh! So what do you think? Did CNN and the public overreact or is Martin's tweet totally homophobic?

disagree, he shouldn't spout hateful homophobic speech and consider himself a "progressive" what is listed is only a part of his rant.

It must be more. I think as long as CNN is consistent in applying and enforcing their standards it is okay. But I suspect that Martin is being tarred, feathered and lynched to polish apples with the GLAD and the public. when they really could care less if it were say……………a Howard Stern with even much more blatent ainflammatory remarks. about gays aka Chaz Bono. Matter of fact he might get a promotion and be hired at a major network to judge a talent show. Be consistent.
