Serena Williams beat the Russian out of Maria Sharapova, at the 2012 Olympics Games on August 4. So, to celebrate her gold medal win, Serena "c-walked" on the tennis court. The dance, known as the "crip walk" was made popular by gang members in Compton California, which is where Serena was born and raised.Personally, I thought it was all in fun, yet the media is trying to make a mockery of Serena's unbeatable talent & accomplishments at the London games. What do you think?
During the post-match news conference, though, Williams backtracked: “Actually, there is a name. But I don’t know if . . . it’s inappropriate,” Williams said, responding to inquiries about her jig. “It’s just a dance we do in California.”
